Virginia Warehouse Move Complete
April 27, 2009
Our warehouse move from New Jersey to Virginia is complete. Starting today Moss Motors will be processing and shipping orders from our Petersburg, VA warehouse to our Eastern customers. Our discounted air shipping rates will remain in effect until May 1, 2009 as promised. We thank you for your patience during our move.
Eastern Warehouse Move Starts
April 13, 2009
For a couple of weeks in April, as our New Jersey warehouse closes, and before the Virginia warehouse is fully operational, Moss’ California warehouse will be handling all shipping duties. During this brief transition, we are offering a 30% discount on air shipping for orders from California. This will allow East Coast customers to receive their orders in the same short times they have come to expect, without incurring significant extra cost. Discounted rates begin April 13 and end May 1, 2009.
About Our New Virginia Warehouse
The location on the East Coast was chosen specifically as a central hub for shipping, not only in the continental US, but also “across the pond” to the UK and Europe, where many parts are sourced. The warehouse has been designed to maximize efficiency, with the goal of increasing availability, shortening overall shipping times and reducing backorders for our East Coast customers. Warehouse space is increasing from 15,000 square feet to over 100,000, with room on the property to more than double the size of the warehouse.
The Virginia warehouse will become our main shipping facility. Warehouse Manager Fred Eisenhower brings decades of warehouse management experience, and is a long-time local family man. He’s excited to become part of the Moss family and help move Moss to its newest and largest home on the East Coast.
During the move, shipping volume in California will be dramatically increased. While we are taking steps to handle the extra load, minor shipping delays may be unavoidable, especially early in the week. To avoid any problems, order early, or take advantage of the temporarily reduced air shipping rates listed above.
