hiya Zack,poolboy might have hit the nail,we all tend to forget older cars tend to get a build up of bake crud in the eng. vent. system causing increased sump compression, blowing oil into the cylinders and burning oil instead of leaks.acheck on your s/plugs might help determine oil burning and/or weak mixture for idling.
