  • Supercharger on a 5 main bearing 66' Model B

I am doing a full up restoration of a 66 with full drive train rebuilb, along with suspension.  I am now getting ready to tackle the engine. I have had my B's for 20 35 years (I have a '63 too) and I have laways looked at the dual Weber carbs as the "cats meow"; but afetr a few months of reading pricing and analysis, I keep ...

  • 1979 Steering Wheel Removal Update

Thanks but no replies are now required, the wheel came off with a bang after I heftied up the pulling apparatus.  When it finally came free I thought something broke because there was such a sudden separation of the wheel and a considerable noise.  The penetrating oil didn't have a chance because of the way the steering ...

  • 1979 Steering Wheel Removal

Would appreciate any guidance from the veteran MGB owners.  Have attempted several times to remove the OEM steering wheel using a puller with C-Clamps attaching to plates placed at the back side of the wheel.   The motif and steering wheel nut were removed and the spline shaft sprayed with PB Blaster to break bond but no ...

You have no idea how frustrated I ...

  • 1977 MGB Radio installation

I have a general question about putting a radio into my 77 MGB.  Now, let me preface this by saying that I, along with my dad, owned a 78 MGB when I was in high school (too many years ago to count) and I'm pretty comfortable working on my B but not with the radio since we didn't have to replace our radio in our B back in the day. ...

  • Weber 45MCHH carburator

Hi all,  I'm new to this forum and joined with the specific purpose of finding out if anyone here has installed or had any experience with anyone that has installed this carb. It is meant to replace the ZS on 1975 and beyond MGB's with no removal of the existing manifold. Comes with a machined billet as an adapter. It is ...

  • Winter Storage

I am the new owner of a 1975 MGB.   I live in Maine, USA and have to store the car for the winter.  Other than taking out the battery, topping off the gas tank, and using a car cover what other precautions should I take.  I plan on storing it in a local barn which is dry.  Thanks for any help you can give.
