I was driving to work one afternoon and the clutch suddenly crapped out. I could tell the throw-out bearing had broken in two. I grinded it into gear and creeped back home. A couple weeks later, my brother and a friend helped me pull the engine and transmission. It took two weekends. They sit on a spill mat to the right.

This shot was taken just after cleaning the engine down. That's just surface rust, really!

Transmission didn't look like that coming out.  Much Cleaner!

Purchased in 2005 from eBay for $3400. 

My first 1970 MGBGT.  Turd brown.  Stolen off Fort Bragg, NC while I was deployed on a 4 month mission with 7th SFGA.
