A shroud will certainly make any fan more efficient. I was simply suggesting a simple, inexpensive, bolt-on, and fairly significant improvement over the stock four blade metal fan. I am somewhat amused at the discussion of maximum efficiency with shrouding, and eliminating power drain by going electric; gentlemen, this IS a tractor motor we ...

You may want to consider using the stock 8-blade plastic fan from the TR-6. It is lighter, moves more air and is undoubtedly better balanced than the original four blade fans. The part should be easily attainable through Moss or any number of other vendors; I purchased one as recently as this past spring for a TR-4A restoration. Its a straight ...

Peter,
You were spot on regarding the linkage to the PCV valve. Sealed the pushrod tubes externally with a light application of JB Weld. Checked the PCV and it appears to be incomplete and cannibalized. Internally the valve has a set of four prongs that appear to guide a small pin which rests on the one way valve in the lower portion of the ...

In the four years since tearing down the car, I have forgotten where the radiator overflow bottle bracket mounts. Either the body man inadvertently covered the mounting hole or I am having a senior moment... In either case is there someone out there who can tell me specifically what the bracket mounts to or better yet supply a ...

A possible fix which may save you a world of aggravation. I had the same issue with the hood on my TR4A: no sign of holes drilled for the lettering. I mirrored the pattern which is on the trunk lid, and drilled the holes but it was a nightmare. Despite having a good template, a minute variance when drilling will result in crooked ...
