• Re: Should I Install a New Wiring Harness on My 1964 TR4?

I cant speak for a Triumph, but Ive rewired both my MGA and my MG TF and highly recommend it while your car is apart. Its a worthwhile winter project.

  • Re: To improve this Forum reduce the categories in each car type

While we are at making suggestions for improving something that is absolutely FREE, it would be nice if we could up-load photos directly to the thread. Dont know how its done, but it is possible on the Owners Club BBS.

  • Re: Datsun 210 5speed conversion

I have a B-210 five speed in my TF and a Ford Sierra in my MGA. I prefer the feel and the way the Ford shifts. The 210 gearboxes are getting very hard to find.

  • Re: 1959 Nash Metropolitan

The MGA 1500 engine will work, but the position of the starter on the MGA 1600 will make it difficult to use that engine in your Metropolitan.

  • Re: battery install

I use a single size 26, 12 volt battery (from K-Mart) in my 59 MGA in the right-hand side. • Re: Rear Oil Seal Conversion

  • Re: Replacing clutch

This is not a big deal, youll need to pull the engine. I would replace the rear seal while the engines out, but I think that I would not use the Moss conversion kit.

  • Re: Time for paint

You did not say if your MGA is a 1500 or a 1600. The early 59 MGAs are 1500slow starter motor. The late 59s are 1600s. If your car is a 1500 then the VIN will tell the original color. The third letter of the VIN is the colora OEW 1500s VIN would start with HDR_-------------_
