I'll try that in the next day or so.
Thanks for the part numbers, just in case.....

I believe the bearings may be shot on one (or both) sides of the front hubs. I hear a ticking, picking sound at times during slow turns at slow speeds. In looking through the Moss catalog, I see bearing parts, etc. Do they sell a bearing ''kit''? If not which are the standard parts needed to rebuild? Grease type ...

I have a 77 b and am just a learner to date. But,....and this is just a thought,....perhaps your old thermostat was causing your B to run slightly hotter (not sure of the reason for replacement to begin with) and now with a new one, it's running where it should be. ----or---- the new thermostat is just plain opening earlier than the ...

After much struggle with not much luck on the pins, I decided to put everything back together. Since I do not have suitable press at the moment. I've also gotten a suggestion to get a pan of oil and let the wishbone sit in it overnight.
I did notice that when I had the shock free from the 4 bolts holding it down, I could move ...

Just when I thought the switch was bad,....I saw a flicker of brake lights when messing with it attached but not installed in the pedal box. I took the switch apart since it's a plunger style switch and not a ball (point) style. Snapped apart and snapped back together. Works like a charm once I rotated the contact ...

It has a Zenith-Stromberg Carb, but I don't seem to be getting as much "up-and-go" as I think it probably should give. ...

Thanks guys....I appreciate the advice, especially about the fender lip. No sense in ruining tires and fender.

I have a 77 MBG. Among the plenty of multi things going on with the car, I had a flat tire. ("tyre", depending on where you're from) In the process of plugging for a temp repair I realized that I had three 175SR14 tires and one 185SR14 tire. How I didn't see this before, I don't know. Since they ...

I contacted a somewhat local tech school and they don't want to touch it for fear of damaging something that they can't repair. We didn't get into the details but I believe you pretty much are putting the vehicle in their hands without insurance. Mostly because of it's age. At least that's what I ...
