Henry - Go to The TABC web site http://www.mg-tabc.org/ and get signed up, then post your question there. You will be reaching people there who really know TCs and have probably faces the same problem themselves.

Chris - If you remove the seats and floor boards, support the engine and remove the transmission (which you can do with the seats and floorboards removed), it is possible to replace the clutch without removing the engine (whether or not it is easier doing it this way over removing the engine us up for grabs).

Something interesting happened on the way to the forum (actually while looking up information for Richard in regards to the clutch pedal stop in the TD/TF). First, according to the T series Handbook, published by the New England Register, the pedal stop on the early TDs (TD/0251 through TD/22250) was accomplished by the cable that operated ...

''Nope - the only clutch pedal stop is the firewall panel itself.''
Sorry Dick, that is not true on other than the early TDs. The later ones (I'm not sure just where they started installing them) have a clutch stop in the pedal box. If you want to e-mail me at SUfuelpumps@donobi.net, I can send you a picture of the stop and ...

Motor Bill is correct in stating that the pump you got is probably putting out way too much pressure. That said, there are several Facet pumps (available from NAPA) that put out between 1.5 and 4 psi, which will work fine with the Midget (the SU fuel pump that come in several models of the Midget puts out 3.8 psi). If you want to ...

Mike - Try testing the generator using the procedure in the article, Testing a Dynamo/Generator in the Other Tech Articles section of my web site at: http://homepages.donobi.net/sufuelpumps/ If the generator will not put out 20 volts using this procedure, then the generator is bad. Take it to a good auto electric shop for repair. ...

If Jeff replaced the rotor when he restored your distributor, I doubt that the rotor is the problem (he has about the only rotors that don't cause a problem). That said, it wouldn't hurt to try a different rotor (purchase it from Jeff so you get one that will last). If you are still running with points, then check the points gap AND ...

Don - Why do you feel that 190°F is over heating? 190°F is about the temperature that the B series engine runs the best (I run a 195°F thermostat in our MGB year around. Remember, an engine is NOT overheating as long as it is not boiling while the car is moving. If you are loosing coolant when the car is stopped and the engine ...

Dave - You already have the best anti theft device there is built right into your car - the fly off hand brake. I have yet to find anyone who has not drive the T series cars or the MGA, who can release (much less set) that hand brake.

Ben - The 67 and earlier MGB starter motor is a completely different animal than that on a 70 MGB. The early starter motors do not have an attached solenoid, they use an external solenoid mounted on the right side inner fender. For easier to follow wiring diagrams go to Advance Auto Wire at: http://www.advanceautowire.com/ click ...
