Thanks! I actually found a 210 5 speed already; I saw this particular kit on craigslist for sale. I've heard all about the Rivergate kit, but I was unfamiliar with the Sports Conversion brand 210 5 speed kit.

Hi-
Does anyone out there have experience with a Datsun 210 5 speed conversion kit that was made by a company called Sports Conversions in Redding, Ca.? Any thoughts or comments on the kit would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Thanks, LCJUTILA.
I'm reasonably (95%) sure that the paint is the original, as I got the car from the second owner who had it 30+ years (22 stored) and he had never painted it. Also, when I rubbed out the (oxidized) Viper Red paint, it matches the paint in the trunk, engine compartment and under interior panels really well. Also, where I have ...

Just wondering what type of paint (ie enamel, lacquer) that was used on Sprites in '67. The paint on mine is pretty good, but I need to take out a couple of parking dings, and I'll need to (try) to blend in over the repairs. Thanks!

Mine has two holes in the ribs from battery corrosion or arcing, and I'd rather not spring for a whole new cowl section. Worst case scenario, I can either fab or have fabbed a patch with the ribs, but if any are commercially available, I'd ...

I was wondering if anybody out there could tell me how I remove the hood hinges on my Sprite. One of the hinges was ''repaired'' (and I use the term VERY loosely!) at some point years ago, and is about to break again. I didn't find anything in the Haynes manual that covered this. Also, does anybody repro theses hinges (hopefully stronger ...

Thanks, Clark-
I pulled the engine and transmission out yesterday, and judging from the looks o' things I might end up replacing the fuel system, as it looks pretty bad. My plan was to rebuild everything (brakes, suspension, electrical, body) but the engine first, THEN rebuild the engine and put in the car. My brother had a good point in that ...

Thanks for the info on the manuals, Jim. I know what you mean about getting your ducks in a row: on my '56 Chevy, I had a tendency to buy parts much sooner than I needed them, with the result that when I sold the car, I took a bath on parts that I never even got around to using. Doning my best not to repeat that mistake this time ...
