    I want to install a 4AGE in my 63

Who can help me with motor choice, mounts, templates of what to cut if anything?

I know this has been done many times and the motor just plain looks like it belongs in the car.

I've done a motorswap on my old 86 MR2 with a supercharged 4AGZE, and have nothing but praise for the motor.  I would definitely go with an engine from Japan vs. a wrecked one from the states. Check out www.venus-auto.com for  prices on used motors.  I would recommend  a "clip".

If you want to stick with naturally aspirated, I would recommend a "silvertop" version of the motor.  Check out http://www.mr2oc.com/ for more details on the different versions.

    Wywrox,

Thanks for the input, found a Blacktop that I will be ordering hopefully this week or early next week.

Also been corresponding with a man in ireland who has a 4AGE powered Midget that makes 130hp now.

Sounds like this is going to be a lot of fun!

Where in Wyoming are you? I live in N. Denver but work in Cheyenne as a Air Traffic Controller there at the airport.

Awesome, good luck with the blacktop!!

I was in Cheyenne, but havent lived there for 3 years.  I'm in Alabama now.

Just got a 68 sprite and I've been pondering doing a swap myself.  Good luck!

Well the motor should be here a week after they get it on a pallet. Found a shop in Denver that has performed like swaps and has extensive experience with the 4AGE and tuning them. The Blacktop is reported by Toyota to make around 165hp stock so the car is going to get a narrowed RX7 rearend assy also.

I'll post some pictures when the motor show up, I am going to do a mild freshening of the motor before it goes in the car.

Car delivered to the shop for the Engine install today. 1098 and Trans was out in three hours.

I went with a 20valve "Blacktop" 4AGE and it will all be "stock" Toyota, injection ecu etc.

165 hp should be enough eh?
