Midget Top Question

Greetings and congratulations to Moss Motors on the Forum, spendid idea especially since it has been difficult to get answers from them directly. I'm installing a new top on my 71 midget and I just need to confirm that the rear retainer bar fits under the flap in the back of the top cover itself. Also, I noticed the bar extends one snap hole beyond the flap so I'm guessing the snap on each end of that bar actually protrudes through the top whereas all the others are hidden under the top? Any help is appreciated.

I'm very confused about the top configuration you have. The chrome retainer bar and snaps fasten on top of the original top(hood). Maybe yours is the incorrect top or as an aftermarket enhancement. Can you post a picture?

on my top ( 1976 midget) some of the snaps have a male and female, the female obviously is to attach the top, the male end is so when the top is down you can install a boot cover ( i think its called a boot cover :) ), its the cover to cover the top in the down position. i will have to double check but i think there are some also along the bar you are talking about.
