New to the world of MGA ownership - Foot keeps hitting the brake pedal!

I just got a 1956 MGA. (1 week ago)   Always loved MG's since riding in my Dad's Midget as a kid, and I've always thought the MGA was the prettiest.  Mine is a solid driver, mostly original.  Needs some things, but I plan to drive it and enjoy it, and upgrade along the way, not go full resto.   Runs strong. Loving it so far.

the issue I'm  having is that I have a very hard time keeping my foot from hitting the brake pedal.   Any ideas?  Seems it could be offset a little to the left without getting in the way of the clutch.  Has anyone tried something life this?

Try smaller shoes.  I'm not trying to be funny.  Yesterday here in Oshawa Canada I had to drive my Chevy Tracker with manual transmission for the first time this winter with heavy clumsy snow boots. I'd forgot over the summer months just how difficult it can be with those big boots hitting everything all at once.

I agree. I have cars that I can drive with leather loafers but if I use modern style knobby soled running shoes the edge of the sole catches on pedals.
