    Heater switch

I have a 64 tr4 the heater switch has three plugs (on back of switch) and my car is set up for two wires so the switch must be from a differnt car or year? or do I just use two of the three?
The only dum question is the one not asked

I'm no expert on the TR4, but I can tell you that many of these cars had a one speed fan. You can determine which yours is supposed to have by checking the schematic for the car.

It sounds like the switch you have is a replacement made for a two speed system. You should be fine with it as long as your fan is running at the right speed. You can unplug the wires and just short them together to test your fan speed. If it is the same as when using the switch (and it should be), you're all set!

    Better late than never ......

....just restoring a '66 TR4A and faced the same dilemma .... until I looked more carefully. My switch has three terminals and only one 'pull' position, but if you look again at the terminals two are connected together (the two parallel to one another) and enable you to 'piggy-back' other fused supply wiring (normally green) to other low amp switches at the back of the dash - rear fog light for example. The other perpendicular to the other two is connected to the blower wiring (normally white) obviously.
