This will probably top the easiest questions asked so far ( or the dumbest ) .  Where on the 1500 engine does the earth strap , orginally ,connect to on the frame of the car ?  Location on the engine is evident but to where that 6 inch wire goes is not so clear and I like to stay as true to factory as possible..  Several different options but none seem logical ( at least to me ). Last detail before start up !  Thanks

Mine is a 76, but...

The earth lead from the battery and an earth lead from the manifold bolt closest to the firewall are BOTH connected to the chassis at the firewall, about 2 inches (5 cm) to the left of the battery. They share a bolt on the firewall just above and to the left of where the temperature sender and choke cable come through.
