I purchased a 1969 MGB GT project and one of the many missing parts was the speedometer cable.  I purchased a new cable from Moss and am not able to locate where it's supposed to pass through firewall or transmission tunnel.  Can anyone shed some light on the correct location?

The cable runs through the firewall on the passenger side. The hole is located in the upper left hand side of the footwell in the very back.

The speedometer should have a right angle drive on the back.Reconnecting the cable to the speedo and putting it back into place in the dash is not fun. Very fiddly - ideal if you have small hands.

Found it.  The former owner did a really good job of covering it with a nylon wire anchor, meaning they must have driven the car without a speedo cable for a while.  Seems like a very awkward bend for the cable to get through the hole and to the fitting on the tranny...
