    Gasoline spewing carburator!

My 54 TF is spewing gas from the float when starting. All seems to be in order component-wise. help anyone?

Bad float valve/dirt trapped in float valve. Sunken float. Excessive fuel pressure. If the fuel is coming from the float chamber, there are not too many possibilities other than these.

Thanks so much, checked everything you mentioned, problem solved!  There was a fair bit of slidge in the float bowl, cleaned it out, refloated the float, made sure the valve and tickler were freed up and it's all good.  Have a great weekend!
