I am replacing the gas tank on my 74 midget. The new tank does not have the vapor tube. I saved the old fitting which has a tube that runs to the center of the tank and then was rusted off. The old tank had baffles the new one does not. My question is what does the vapor tube look like beyond the rusted off part? Is there a source for a new one? Or would it be ok to just replace the fitting down into the tank without the tube?
