    More leg room 1954 MGTF

I purchased my 1954 MGTF in 1975 and used it to commute to Rutgers University. I am now 56 years old 6'4" and the car has shrunk since college days. I remember reading articles about doing something with the break and clutch pedals to gain a bit more room. Any specific help will be appreciated.

I guess I used to tolerate pain better back in the old days, but if I drive it for an hour or so it becomes very painful because my legs are bent in strange directions.

    Thanks
    Dr. Jim Brown

Jim - There should be some 1" spacers between the pedal and the rods.  Removing those spacers will gain you an inch.  Don't toss the spacers when you remove them, there are always people looking for them.

    Dr. Brown,

After studying the physics of the problem and considering all possible phenomenon, I've reached a conclusion:

Either you've grown or the car shrunk. Did you ever wash it in hot water?

Remove the spacers and happy motoring!

Davy - "Did you ever wash it in hot water?"

That's not a problem, the cars came from the factory preshrunk Wink
