    Weber carbs

Does anyone know what the jetting should be in the weber carb. Have a 74 gt and since putting in the weber and headers the idle is lousy and unless it's completely warmed up it runs pretty bad .the weber is a 36/36 ,it's called the outlaw.Have no one in my area that works on mg's .Also installed a flame thrower if that helps at all with a diagnoses. Thanks in advance for any input.

    Re: Weber carbs

I believe you have the the Weber 38DGES (electric choke) . Just to be sure, does it have a manual, water , or electric choke?

My best guess is the choke is not working correctly, and is fact not releasing. It will start cold, but starts to "load up" after the engine warms. Check you spark plugs, are they black with soot?

I have not seen too many of these in the MG circles, instead a lot of DGV 32/36s. I have tuned the DGV 32/36 and jets should not be that different.
I'll give you a range that should work.
    idle jets: 50 to 60
    main jets: 140 to 160
air corrector jets: 150 to 180

FYI, The idle jets impact beyond idle to about 2500 RPMs.
