Clutch Clunking noise in my 1958 Austin Healey 100-6

I have a clunking noise that seems to come from the bottom of the engine but if I depress the clutch somewhat and take the play out of the clutch it seems to stop

Is this a clutch adjustment issue

hello. could be a number of things but most likely wear on clutch fork or pivot.clutch release bearing and sleeve.worst case exessive end float in crankshaft.
