Generator / Alternator conversion Spitfire MK3

Hello looking to convert the generator over to an alternator. What works best?  Is there a simple conversion, and do I have to fabricate new brackets? Any help would be apprecieated. Sincerly Joseph

Just get the brackets from somebody who has used parts, grab an alternator from moss & hook it up...the biggest thing will be your wiring harness plug.

Hi Joe, if your not worried about keeping original, a delco 63 amp older style with only two wire connector works great. gives you more amps and is easy to hook up, you can probably use your original bracket, and just leave the old spacer out for pulley alignment, there is lots on the internet about how to wire it just look for lucas to delco conversion, it's easy.
