Hi Tony,
When you're logged in, if you click on your screen name in the upper right corner of the page, you will go to your personal settings screen. There's a tab there for "Avatar" and "Signature." As for uploading a picture you just browse to it on your computer and upload. As for bold or font I can't help you there. Have you tried some basic html like <b></b> for bold?
