1275 exhaust system

    1275 exhaust system

    Hi

    I am planning to fit a 1275 Metro engine to my Mini and am getting a few bits in advance.

    In the Moss catalogue there are two long centre branch manifolds MT6508 & GAC8463X that seem to be what I need, anyone have any opinions on which would be most suitable. I also need to know what to buy for the rest of the system. (I want it as quiet aspossible without loss of performance).

    GAC8463X has bigger primary and slightly better constructed...MT6508 is the better fit! form experience they are identical in performance! which exhaust were you thinking of? I highly recommend the GEX40RC with either lcb or max performance and it reasonably quite...does have a nice rasp if you boot it though Stick out tongue

    Oz,

    I didn't get the MT6508 manifold, unfortunatly it isn't in stock, but when I get it will I need a large port manifold gasket? also when I fit the Metro engine is it worth fitting poly engine mountigs.

    Hi Joe

    I have the poly engine mounts on mine and they are very good...just remember to get longer bolts if your going to fit them.

    TMG10836 large port gasket would be ideal Joe
