The MGB is acclimating well to the Tulsa weather. It is a great deal different from Kentucky with the temperatures up to 103 degrees during the day but the MG is taking it all in stride. The temperature gauge gets a little above mid-range, but not much. I would say that's pretty good for a 30-year old!

You may want to try bumping up your water to anti-freeze ratio for the summer. Try more water than antifreeze. Water is what actually removes the heat while the antifreeze extends its freeze / boil points.

any thoughts on this (new to me anyway) Prestone 50/50 pre-mixed stuff?  I've never seen it before much less used it.

I used the 50/50 stuff once when finishing up on a '50 Mercedes where I didn't have easy access to water. Easier than carying 2 jugs. As far as I could tell, it worked the same as mixing it myself although maybe a bit more expensive. It was convenient though.

Zach, the Oklahoma heat can get to you a little but not a s hot as south Texas though. Like davey said, a little more water in the summer and you might try some of that water wetter stuff. I can't remember the name right now but it does seem to work.

Will do. Actually, I'm using the Prestone 50/50 and it has worked okay. I will try upping the water though. Right now, I'm waiting for a fuel pump. I took my daughter out for reeds for her clarinet and on the way home, the MG died on me. Fuel starvation due to an inoperative pump. The local foreign car parts dealer wanted $255.00, so I went mail order for $135. Should be here tomorrow.
