I have the opportunity to purchase a used factory roll bar for my B.  I've wanted to have a rollbar, but I don't know if the factory bar is as good as the aftermarket.  Bear in mind, I'm not racing; just want a little extra security.  Was the factory bar truly for safety or just for show?

alot better than nothing .will save your life or keep you from being paralyzed if all thats involved is rolling over.---its not a heavy car,factory should be fine
