WOOOOOOOHOOO!! It tried to start tonight!

It coughed over on starting fluid tonight.  I have oil pressure on cranking, I have spark, I have air, I need fuel!  It's been asleep for about 40 years, 1957 100-6 Longbridge.  Primrose yellow with black hardtop.

Brakes are rebuilt, and holding pressure.

I'll be rebuilding the fuel system this week, and cleaning the gas tank, etc.

     I love this hobby.

I know, it's totally random, and there's not near enough detail, but I'll write more tomorrow...I promise.

The Healey has started!  it fired right up.  a little smoke at first, but after that, it was fine.

I have a poorly shot video on youtube.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Su2cbZuYnV4

I just have to do a little tuning, and get the clevises tightened on the carbs.

    Hi Steve,

Great! It sounds strong. It's a fine thing to hear on a Sunday morning. Enjoy it man!

i just bought a 1966 that has been garaged for 12 years (not quite the 40 you had  to deal with)

i don't know if it turns over yet as i was wanting to find out if i needed to do anythng to it first  like putting light oil in the cylinders and waiting a while before i tried to move it.

did you do anything special or just go for broke?
