The SPORTS CAR AND VINTAGE AUTO FESTIVAL XXXVII, one of the EastCoast’s largest one-day car show is expected to attract more than 9,000spectators and more than 800 cars Sunday, June 1, 2008 at the Farmington Town Park,Farmington, New York.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the MGCar Club, Western New York Centre, and in honor of that milestone any carsentering the show made in 1958 will have free admission. There will be a special area reserved todisplay cars made in 1958. Pre 1916 carscan also enter for free. New this yearis an “unrestored survivor” class to recognize the rise in popularity andimportance of those collectible cars in an “unrestored” state.
Besides hundreds of collector cars to see, there’s aflea market featuring arts, crafts, and special-interest auto parts; a carcorral with collector cars for sale; food and beverages, music and of course acar show with sports cars, antique cars, hot rods and custom cars. The heart ofthe event, sponsored jointly by the Victor (NY) Lions Club and the MG Car Clubof Western New York, is a judged show with trophies awarded for each of morethan 65 classes of cars, trucks and vans. Plenty of food and beverages will be available for this family-orientedevent. Spectator admission is only $5;children under 12 are admitted free.Farmington Town Park is located at the intersection of Collett Road and County Road 8 in the Town of farmington, New York.
