    Your MGA

Hi...Just wondered how to add a picture of my MG instead of that dark grey head that represents the person.

    Hi MGA Dar,

To add an Avatar you have to go to your personal profile. You get there by clicking on your screen name at the top of the page where it says 'signed in as'. Once there you will see a tab called Avatar. Click to enable Avatar and then upload your image. We can accept up to a 120x120 pixel image. It takes about 10 minutes for it to take affect.

    Enjoy,

     Shawn

    Thanks Shawn.

Now that I have that mastered, thanks to your help, how do you add a picture as an attachment to a message?  It would be nice from time-to-time to add a picture, particularly if a restoration is ongiong to show some progress.  We all like to see progress sometime in the restoration process.  Always nice to see what it looks like at the start and how much improved it is at the finish.

    Re: Your MGA

When typing your message there is a picture insert button that looks like a tree right above the message box. Click on that and you can put in the URL of your image and other specific data. Your image has to be hosted somewhere else on the web, you can't upload your photo to our site.

     Hope this helps,

     Shawn

    Shawn-

Thanks for the info.  I had tried the insert box before, but saw no way to add a picture or anything from my own computer.  Your answer explains why that is true.  Maybe in time it might be nice to have a feature added to this web site that allows for pictures to be added to the text replys.  I can see sometimes when posting an answer to a question, where a picture or a drawing may be of help in trying to give a clear answer.  Just a thought for future consideration.  This is really a great site.
