    1970 Spitfire MK III

I am rebuilding a 1970 Spit Mk III and the car currently has RX-7 Seats.  They are nice but a little too wide and too tall.  I'd like to replace with original seats, or at least something that fits better.  I've had a heck of a time finding seats, seat covers, but I think I need the hardware as well.  If anyone has any ideas on locating seats or other Options I'd appreciate it!

You could try Scott Harper at Team Triumph.  330 392 7176   That's in Warren Ohio.  He's got warehouse building full of TR & MG stuff all boxed & labeled.  There's always ebay too.  I'd try Moss or Roadster Factory for the cover kits...or if you do find a tattered set of seats you could get a local shop to reupolser useing the old ones for patterns.  I had a local guy redo my TR8 seats and it was actually cheaper than the kits.

    Nuke,

I have an early MkIII (guages in the middle) and mine has seats that are unique to the left and right side.  They lean in to the center of the car.  If you swap them they will interfere with the convertable top bows.  Make sure you get both seats as opposed to two right or two left.

Also, I hear that miata seats work.

    Good luck.
