I tested my starter/solenoid and found that it was bad. So I have purchases a new one and installed it. I still have power to the coil. I have a spark at the distributor, but no spark at the plugs. From what I have found out, the next step would be to replace the distributor cap and rotor. Is there any way to test the distributor before relacing parts.? I have the Healey owners workshop manual that poolboy suggested that I get, anything in it about the distributor explains about the pionts system, I believe that I have an electronic system here. So, I do not understand how toe check the timing or any of the other fine tuning adjustments that may be needed. when I turn the key, the engine does not try to turn over, the fan belt does not turn. I believe this problem to be the distributor. Being that a new distributor cannot be purchased, I need to replace parts. Is the cap and rotor a good place to start? and, is there any advice to give me on the timing or any other adjustments like that?
Agian, any help is greatly appreciated.
