Im rebuilding my '76 Mg Miget, that originally had a 1500 in it. it got blown up and now im restoring it. i wanted to know if the compression ratio in the 1275 - 8.8:1 is better for current, unleaded gas than the 1500 - 9:1. if anyone knows which motor is better mileage and such on gas. please help me out. alos i took off the single carb on the 1500 and wanted to replace it with a duel carb. it fits but will all the other wires and pipes line up correctly. i believ the duel is better b/c after they changed to a single. thats when the engins started blowing. if anyone has info. please contact me at mismac5@hotmail.com. or leave a post...most appriated.
