    Don't get too hung up on precise matches to the original stuff because it varied quite a bit even in the factory paint booths, according to several historical books on the "T"-series cars.  The original cellulose laquer was the cheapest stuff they could get away with, fading so badly so quickly that there's a number of historical accounts where new cars just off the boat were immediately repainted by the US dealers before putting them on the lots.

    I painted my '51 the way the factory should have painted it.  The purists and originality police are offended, but the general public loves it.  If you're not going for a 100-point concourse quality museum piece, who cares?  Find a color combo you like, and have fun with it!  Yes
