    Hello Sannyasi.

    My name is Blaine Graham. I'd like to see if I can help you get this sorted out.
    Before I can do much of anything, I need you to help me clear up a bit of confusion.
    Your first paragraph talks about your '58 MGA.
    That same paragraph talks about "new pads."
    I'm going to assume you are talking about brake pads.
    I'm going to further assume you used the correct term and that you didn't mean brake 'shoes.'

    The '58 MGA was the MGA 1500. (The 1600 came out in May of '59.)
    I believe the MGA 1500 did not come with disk brakes. I believe it had drums all around.
    So, if my memory is accurate, and your description above is accurate, your car has been modified.
    If that's the case, we will need to double-check things carefully before we try to decide what will or won't fit your car.
