Thanks for the suggestions Bob, I don't know what/how to look into to troubleshoot it though. It's essintially newly rewired headlights to taillights, but I got ignorant and installed a complete set of aftermarked gauges including a voltmeter and since they use sending units I piggybacked quite a bit of addiontial wiring onto the new factory loom so I could have quite a mess. I also "retro-ed" the ignition/light switch by going with a bug-eye style combo switch... dunno...
I embelished the "minute or so" part, the ign warn light actually goes out in just a few seconds upon starting the car. I just can't figure the coming back on and starying on aspect/thing.
