BHM1111 is the British Leyland part number for an 18V engines,18V846/847. E is exchange. 125206 is the serial number.
What you most likely have is a factory "Gold Seal" engine, painted gold instead of the normal MG red or black. I understand these engines were installed under factory warranty or by owners purchasing the engines outright.
