1976 MGB with Weber 32/36 Carb

Trouble once car has been driven and warmed up, it appears flooded and is hard to start or won't at all for a while. Timing checked, carb tuned per Weber's tech tips, It is almost like the fuel pressure is leaking into the carb and flooding, the longer it sits when hot the harder it is to start. I have just restored this car, 2 years in the making and am troubled it is not reliable enough to stop at a store and it will start when I get back in it. It also appears to not be responsive enough at low rpm's, once going though car runs great through 2000 to 4000 rpm. It looks like it is really using excessive fuel, Can anyone help?
