My Midget’s 1275 engine is running very lumpy. I bought it as a none runner. The distributor was off but in the boot ready to go on.

Also, the twin Su’s were off and in the boot. I have now refit them and set the static timing. I now have the engine ticking over but very lumpy. I have tried to set the twins up by the Haynes book. However, when I rev the engine it just dies. I have tried the old colour tune as described  but the colour is more white than blue and I cannot get it to change colour.  The compression is ok and the oil pressure is fine.

I am now thinking is it the distributor? I do not know what the condition of that is or if it’s the correct one. I was thinking of buying an electronic 45D. has anyone got any help or advice for me….Tongue Tied dont know why all the other writing is above ?
