I have a 72 BGT with most things in pretty standard configuaration. I'm having a problem with a leak at the union where the hose from the cooler screws into the base of the oil filter. I have tightened it as much as possible and it leaks. I have tried putting an o ring in to seal it (hard to explain) slipped over the cone in the connection to seal between the nipple and the threaded head on the hose. That got pressed out so it again leaked out of the head. I cleaned it all up, removed the o ring and added teflon tape where it is threaded. As I bolt it up I am sure the cone is not cocked and that every thing is real tight. It instantly leaked again. The Moss catalog does not show any gasket or o ring. Is there a gasket or some other thing that I'm missing. I'm not a professional mechanic but I'm not a novice at this either. Thanks for any advice, this stupid thing is keeping me from regular use of the car.
