Supercharger on a 5 main bearing 66' Model B

    Supercharger on a 5 main bearing 66' Model B

I am doing a full up restoration of a 66 with full drive train rebuilb, along with suspension.  I am now getting ready to tackle the engine. I have had my B's for 20 35 years (I have a '63 too) and I have laways looked at the dual Weber carbs as the "cats meow"; but afetr a few months of reading pricing and analysis, I keep coming back to the Moss Supoercharger kit as the most practical option for toque across the power band and drivability.

Is there anyone out there that has a pretty good knowledge of this installation and can anyone tell me, what other mods make sense with it. I am all the way down to the bare block. At this point will probably put the aluminum head of the engine since I need to upgrade to non-leaded fuel and would have to re-build mine anyhow, (can't use cross-flow with the SC kit). I also will replace the cam and cam bearings, tappets, and push rods, the main bearing will be repalkced, I am going to bore the cylinders to the next larger size just to get good circular cylinders. I also will put a PECO header on the car.

    1. Do I need to or should I upgrade/change connecting rods?

    2. I have the standard compression ration now, and need to be careful with the SC so do I do anything to reduce compression?  I probably should stay with flat head pistons?

    3. Do I need to upgrade /change Push rods? .... lifters? ......cam?

    4. I have the Borg & Beck Clutch......do I upgrade here to accomodate the higher torque? I will use the aluminum flywheel.

    5. What carb is on the Supercharger?

    Any advice would be appreciated.
