    Re: Speedometer repair

Hello, I have a Smiths speedometer with about 3 miles on it.Box and all.  I thought my speedo was broken and it turned out to be the cable was broken.  So I kept  the original with accurate miles. This speedometer does NOT HAVE THE CLIP ON CABLE.  But I am will to sell it. I bought it off ebay. It is really new and in great shape.

    Thanks, Thomas

    Re: Speedometer repair

Try APT Instruments International in Bloomington, MN. They repair Smith's instruments and can also replace them with new units. Some of the original gauges are obsolete, but this company can replace the "guts" and use the original instrument faces for the vintage look. APT has a website (do a Google search).

    I hope this helps.

    Re: Speedometer repair

I recently had my speedo repaired by the firm recommended in Moss Catalog as MO-Ma in Alburquetqe.  If you can't locate in catalog call customer service and they will give you details.  I had a very good experience.  Takes about a month.

Thanks all, Moma in New Mexico sounds like a promising lead.
