This past Saturday, I decided to replace the windshield bottom seal on my 1973 MGB.  Everything I read prior led me to believe that it would be about a 3 hour procedure if done with the dashboard installed.  Yeah, right!  Let's just say that I hope I never have to do that again as long as I live! It's Monday night and I still hurt from laying across the seat and floor with half of me hanging out the door, turning the bolts nearest the dashboard a quarter turn at a time with a short open end wrench.

Oh, yeah.  Good times!

It's one of those MG ownership rites of passage like removing the steering wheel. I recently renewed the windshield glass and the seals - A two day job and a week to recover from the strain!

You do get a certain feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment when you do it yourself.  That eases the pain somewhat; along with some strong ibuprofen.
