Replaceing outer door glass wipe strips - 73 B conv

I need to replace the outer door glass wipe strips on top of the door.  These are riveted on.  It looks like I have to remove the door glass in order to gain access to the rivets.  Is there an easy way to get the glass out?  The shop manual isn't much help.   Thanks

There is no "easy" way to remove the glass. I did an online search and found a couple of sites that described how to replace the wipe strip. With that information in hand and my Haynes manual, it went pretty well.

If you remove the padded door tops and the lower glass stop piece inside the door you can then lower the glass about an 1/2 inch below the top of the door. This will let you get at the rivets without taking the glass out. Have fun.
