Carb connections and emission inputs for SU HS4 on 69 GT

I've restoring a 69 MGB GT and am putting the carbs on (SU-HS4) but can't figure out two connections:

    1. There are two tubes at the top of the float chamber, going in opposite directions but offset slightly. One is the fuel feed, where does the other one connect to?

    2. this is not on the carb, but where does the emission gas recovery line coming from the engine breather cover connect to? It seems that for my engine, that hose should connect back into the carbs (see this link: http://www.mossmotors.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=28991) and refer to parts 49 thru 52. But I don't see a place where these should feed into - do they go into the float chamber tubes mentioned in my first question?

thanks for any help you can provide

OK - figured out part of this - the pipes coming out of the float chamber are fuel overflow lines. They each connect to a tube that leads any fuel overflow out beneath the carbs.

Still no answer on where the emission gas recovery line goes to however

Figured out this one also - providing the answer for any others that might come across it:

for the '69 year (and maybe others), the engine breather tube connects directly back into the carb filters. I have the round pancake style filters and there is a hole on the back of each one where the tube feeds into. This is supposed to provide engine breathing and burn the resulting emission gas/oil rather than feed it back into the atmosphere. Apparently the engine will run fine without feeding it back into the carb, but will just vent into the air. Later models added a canister with a charcoal filter for gas recovery.
