Sorry Paul, I can't be any help regarding the Anniversary emblem for the dash.  The only time I've seen one for sale is when someone was selling a used dash whcih had the emblem on Ebay.  FYI, the emblem appears to be metallic.

Hi Kevin:  I just bought a '76 Midget.  I am looking for the "special" kit you describe, we had it on this car when I was a kid.

You mention in this old post that the best bet is to reach out to "British parts houses" who specialized in dealer buy outs in the 80s.

Do you have any idea of who those firms are?  Do you have any other thoughts since this post on how I migth fine it?

I apologize bothering you with this but I did a google search on the anniversary MG emblem and this thread showed up.  Did you ever find the octagon emblem you were looking for?  If so, may I ask how much you paid for it?  I have one and I'm looking to sell it but I'm not sure what the going rate is.  Thank you for your time!
