    70 MGB GT body question

At the very bottom rear of the front fenders are 3 cross head screws. What type of head are they? I have a good collection of cross head drivers of various types but these screws have a much shallower head. I have wire brushed them and used an awl to make sure that there is no road grime in the threads but none of the Philips or Reed and Prince drivers that I have will work. They bottom out before the splines bite.

The other option is to drill them and use an easyout but that is my last preference.

Pozi drive. Looks like phillips but with 4 additional little cuts (look at the large door hinge screws...maybe easier to see there.

Both the phillips and the pozi were invented by the same guy. phillips tends to come out when over torqyed, pozi won't.

pozi bits #1--#4 are fairly easy to come by (most large sets seem to have a #2 PZ in them). The drivers themselves are a bit harder to come by.

using a phillips on a pozi tends to chew it up, sometimes very badly.
