Hello everyone. Let me just start off by saying I am new to the MG. I am working on a 79 MGB and have a MGA that I am fixing up for two customers. This problem is with the MBB. I did a complete tune up on the MGB and it wouldn't start. I had no spark at all. I rechecked the firing order and it is correct. I figured there was a component that was malfunctioning so I put the old parts back on one by one and still has no spark. I don't have a manual or a wiring diagram so I am going at this blind. I am a experienced mechanic and am just baffled by this car. I am wondering if there are any fuses inline to the coil and also if anyone knows which wires should or should not have voltage to that ignition coil. There is one modification to the car though. It has a batter disconnect button for when the car is off. The solenoid is working and the engine cranks normally. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks Brett

also check to see that you have the points installed properly- i just bought a healey with no spark and wouldn't start and the guy before put the plastic washer in the wrong sequence when he installed the points. i took the points out and rearranged the parts properly and it started right up
