    steering conversion

Planning to convert my TR3 to rack and pinion, however Moss say if the vehicle is a 'long shaft" model i also require an upper column kit.

How do i identify if i have a long shaft model.???

    Re: steering conversion

If you look at http://www.mossmotors.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=29140&SortOrder=12 you will see there are three types of steering shafts illustrated.
The top one is a long rigid shaft that goes all the way from the steering wheel down into the steering box.
The middle one is in two parts, this is the short shaft version. It has a link in the middle.
The last one is the adjustable column and not applicable to your question.
