    Dear fellow Salem, Oregon owners

If the fellow Salem, Oregon MG owner that stole my windshield wiper is part of this board, please kick your own a**.  Trust me.  You don't want me to find out who you are.  If somehow I ever do, I will hurt you.

Jean (24601) Val-Jean got 20 years of hard labor for steeling some bread for his starving family. I wonder what the fitting punishment would be for messing with a guy's Spridget?

What part got stolen, a wiper arm? Maybe a kind sole on this forum can mail you one just to provide some ying to balance your yang.

Let me know and I'll check my stock.

Re: Dear fellow Salem, Oregon owners

Thanks for the offer.  Our local bus stop for the high school kids in our neighborhood is in my next door neighbors side yard and guess what was found there today while mowing the yard.  Yep you guessed it.  I don't understand why kids need to be destructive.  Growing up I was no saint, but I had respect for other peoples property.  I still need a wiper as it was destroyed in the street, but the arm was in the yard, only slightly bent, and was easily fixed.  I happened to still have my old wipers in the trash can in my garage, so I salvaged one of those until my new one shows up.

    Again, thanks for the offer.

Well Norman, since I have a group of high school students right in front of me, I asked them to answer your question, " I don't understand why kids need to be destructive".

The agreed upon answer is that someone must have been showing-off to his buddies. "Pushing the limits"

The perpetrator is actually quite easy to catch. Just report it to the school, and they'll investigate. Believe me, the kid that did that has been bragging!

    I don't know, davey,

You really think this kid will be bragging, let alone admitting, that he assaulted a midget and ripped an arm off?... Tough neighborhood, man.

Re: Dear fellow Salem, Oregon owners

    motorbill66 & Norman,

He did it to get attention, why don't you give him some? The school knows everyone on that bus stop, and somebody else there would love to see the kid (bully) get nailed for something - - happens all the time, one of his "buddies" will turn him in.

It doesn't cost anything to call the school and have them investigate, heck, they could probably tell YOU who it was without even asking around! Even if the kid just gets a slap on the wrist, at least he'll think twice next time.

I guess it's the teacher in me. We teach much more than just the curriculum, and a remedial lesson in manners and respect is certainly needed here. It's your choice, but I'd be on the phone right now.

I wonder what others on the forum think? Don't let this go too long though, kids have terrible attention spans!

Davey, I agree with your suggestion. If the kid thinks that he got away with this little 'prank', then what will he try next?

    Wink

    Norm,

I think you should go over and talk to the group while they’re waiting for the bus. Call them out for being bullies for picking on a Midget. Tell ‘m to rip the wiper off a Hummer or a Mack—if they’re big enough to reach the blade!

Re: Dear fellow Salem, Oregon owners

Sorry I have not responded to this sooner.  I don't know what school this bus stop services as I am not familiar with the schools in Salem.  The other problem for me is that I work over night.  I general sleep during school hours.  Although it means a bit of a hassle for me we now park our second car up in the driveway.  When my wife or I need to leave, one of us needs to move the other ones car.  If anything else happens, I will just have to lose some sleep and find out what school to go visit.

    Thanks for all your support,

    Norman

Re: Dear fellow Salem, Oregon owners

    Just as well Norman,

A phone call to the town Board of Education can answer your question about which school, and you could even report the incident to them. They'd handle it for you.

Since the school year is almost over and it's been a while since the incident (punishment should be swift), chalk this one up to an unanswered case of bullying a Midget. They got away with it.Super Angry
