Tr6 Wheel nuts and spin on filter conversion

Can someone tell me what size are TR6 wheel nuts? I have the Draper wheel brace and the 22mm socket does not fit, will a 23mm fit?

I have purchased the TR6 spin on filter conversion and the centre bolt is held in place by a fitting inside the convertor does this need to be removed to tighten the adaptor before fitting?

The lug nuts on a TR6, are not metric. They will respond in a much friendlier manner to a 7/8" socket. Virtually everything else on the car is sized in SAE or unified dimensions as well.

As to the adaptor question, I'm not quite sure what you need to know. What kind of fitting do you reference through which the bolt passes and which holds it in place? We've installed nearly countless TR6 adaptors, and it's a fairly intuitive process. I'm sure you've uncovered a little wrinkle which we can iron out.

Sorry if I was not very clear, in the the spin on adaptor, there is a piece(shaped a bit like a wing nut) that holds the centre o ring section in place against the spring, this is the piece I was wondering about should it be removed or do I just fit the whole thing as it comes out of the box.

Can I purchase a 7/8 x 1/2 drive socket through Moss, I am in Denmark and finding non metric sockets is very difficult especially in larger sizes.

    rh18246,

If you wish, I have a 7/8" x 1/2" socket that I could send to you for free from the US. Contact me through the private email section here at the Moss Forum Site.

    rh,

I have not meant to ignore your question concerning the spin-on adaptor, but I have not had one in stock for a while, nor a car coming apart such that I could examine it to answer your question. If someone else has, they should feel free to chime in. The next time I have one I will look it over and get back with you if this is still a concern. Please let me know if it is.

I don't remember anything like that on my adapter.  Where did you get it?  I would ask the vendor.
