Removing Window and door cranks - interior - BJ7

I am about to install new door panels, but I can't seem to find a simple way to remove the door and window cranks.  I am afraid to use too much leverage and assume they pop off.  I don't see any allen wrench fittings or pins...

Can someone advise me how to remove these safely?

     Thanks

Sorry. I don't know how they are attached but I sure would not assume they just pop off. A fairly common way is a little pin through the shaft. Push the escutcheon in as far as possible and look for a pin through the shank that can be pushed out or may even fall out.
